Chief Executive Officer (CEO) — BRIGHT Products AS
Lead a Norwegian solar light and energy company into its next phase of growth. Oslo · Full-time
The opportunity
BRIGHT Products AS is a Norwegian company specializing in solar-powered lamps and energy solutions. Our vision is to enable access to sustainable light and energy anywhere. To date we have delivered more than 4.4 million products globally and generated over NOK 1 billion in accumulated revenue. BRIGHT is an ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certified company, reflecting our commitment to quality and environmental responsibility.
BRIGHT is now entering a new phase of growth, with opportunities to expand geographically, develop new channels and partnerships, and build additional revenue streams alongside its established business.
Our foundation is in humanitarian and preparedness markets, work that has earned us product credibility, supply-chain muscle, and a global track record. We are now entering a new phase focused on diversifying revenue, expanding commercial opportunities, and building on that strong foundation. The aim is to create complementary growth engines, not to replace what already works.
We’re looking for a CEO to lead the company through this next phase; someone who’s commercially driven and able to run the organization with discipline and clear priorities, while stewarding and growing the core business. Someone who builds trust and momentum quickly, and leads with the confidence and compassion that makes a team want to follow.
What you’ll do
- Lead the company. Set strategy, prioritize sharply, and run the organization with discipline, focus and clear priorities.
- Drive commercial growth. Build and execute a go-to-market strategy; including expanding commercial reach, develop new revenue streams, and build stronger positions in both existing and emerging markets and channels.
- Steward and grow the core. Protect and expand the humanitarian and preparedness business across tenders, distributors, partnerships, and public-sector and INGO channels.
- Lead company operations. Ensure the organization, manufacturing partnerships, and supply chain support the company’s strategic objectives, growth ambitions, and customer commitments.
- Lead the management systems. Hold overall responsibility for BRIGHT’s ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 quality and environmental management systems, including management reviews, external audits, governance, and continuous improvement.
- Build the organization. Develop leaders, strengthen capabilities, create accountability, and ensure the organization is equipped to execute the company’s strategy and growth ambitions.
- Own the numbers and the board relationship. Manage the full P&L, ensure strong financial stewardship, and report to the Board of Directors.
What we need
A proven executive leader who combines commercial ambition with the ability to build organizations, develop people and execute strategy.
You’ve done this before. Led from strategy through to results, and you know how to motivate and lead a team clearly, decisively, and in a way that builds trust and accountability.
- Strong commercial track record: opening markets, building channels, and growing revenue in B2B or product-driven sectors.
- Experience building and growing business across international markets.
- Sound financial stewardship and experience managing a full P&L.
- Ability to lead at both strategic and hands-on level. This is not a delegating role.
- Ability to build trust and accountability quickly across the team, the board, and external partners.
- Curious, collaborative, pragmatic, and comfortable working closely with a small team, where leadership is visible, hands-on, and built on mutual trust.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the drive to grow something meaningful.
A plus, but not required
- Experience in preparedness, humanitarian, public-sector, or procurement-driven markets.
- Experience from an ISO-certified organization; ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 audits and led management’s responsibility for these systems.
- Experience from consumer goods, outdoor, safety, or other product-driven sector where it contributes to commercial growth and channel development.
The details
- Reports to: the Board of Directors.
- Location: Oslo, Norway. International travel is part of the role.
- Language: Working language is English. Norwegian an advantage.
