BRIGHT Soli

Essential light. Emergency power. Built to deploy at scale

BRIGHT Soli is a compact solar light system designed for humanitarian response and emergency preparedness – weatherproof, long-lasting, and ready to use the moment it is needed.

Most organisations deploying light in emergency settings face the same trade-off: lightweight, low-cost products that fail within months, or more capable solar lamps that are too large, too heavy, or too expensive to procure at the volumes required.

BRIGHT Soli is built for neither of those compromises.

It combines sufficient light output, dual-source charging, and emergency phone-top up charging capability in a format compact enough to pre-position at scale – and a service life designed to be measured in years, not deployments.

  • BRIGHT Soli ships as two separate components — lamp and flexible solar panel — enabling packing densities that integrated alternatives cannot achieve. Up to 18,000 units per 20-foot container, non-palletized. A smaller warehouse footprint. A lower landed cost per unit. Compact format, serious procurement logic.
  • The 2Wp ETFE monocrystalline panel reaches full charge in approximately four hours at standard irradiance. The LiFePO₄ battery holds charge effectively over extended storage — no maintenance charging required between pre-positioning and deployment. When it is needed, it works.
  • In the first hours of an emergency, maintaining contact is often as critical as maintaining visibility. USB-C output allows BRIGHT Soli to top up a mobile phone directly — extending the usefulness of a single charged unit well beyond lighting alone.
  • IP65-rated and designed to float, BRIGHT Soli is built for the conditions where lighting failures have real consequences. A LiFePO₄ battery chemistry and modular, repairable construction mean service life is measured in years and repeated deployments — not replaced after a single use.

Who is it for?

BRIGHT Soli is designed for humanitarian NGOs, emergency relief agencies, and preparedness-focused organisations who need to deploy reliable portable light at volume – without the logistic overheard of larger product or the replacement burden of low-cost alternatives.

It is also designed for supply partners and kit integrators who need a compact, credible solar light that integrates into preparedness kits and differentiates from other offerings in the portable emergency light category.

What makes it different?

Most products at this price point are designed around unit cost. BRIGHT Soli is designed around total deployment cost: the cost of shipping, storing, distributing, and eventually replacing a lighting product across multiple years and multiple deployments.

At 100 lumens output and 5 days (130+ hours) runtime on low mode, it is not specified for maximum brightness, but for maximum utility in the conditions where it will be used.

LCA and EPD documentation is currently in development, sustainability specifications will be published on completion.

Why BRIGHT?

BRIGHT is a Norwegian company specialising in portable solar-powered lighting for humanitarian aid and emergency preparedness. Every product is developed through field research and real-world testing.

Our focus is simple: create lighting solutions that last, can be repaired, and perform reliably when conditions are most challenging.
